Several years ago, the Walkman, which was made by Sony, was the most in demand music player. I had one of those Walkmans by Sony. It had an OK stereo radio and a cool tape deck. About 30 years ago, it was considered the top of the line.
Nowadays, the iPod is the MP3 player popping into nearly all peoples' minds. But, the arrival on the scene of the new Walkman by Sony is about to change everything. While the new Walkman from Sony has said goodbye to the tape deck, it still has the FM radio tuner, and several other nice features which we will discuss here.
In addition to the MP3 player and the radio, Sony now has built-in stereo speakers. Today you have the choice to unplug your headset in order to share the music with people with you. In addition, it's for those people who would just rather listen to their music without the headset.
With my first Walkman, all those years ago, it was cool - I could really record songs from the radio directly to the tape player. Also, now you can record anything you can think of, from any source. Music, lectures, speeches, whatever. You aren't stuck with only the radio.
The screen itself is a 2.4 inch screen, which is really bright and very easy to view when you view videos. In addition, the Sony S-544 8 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player gives you the choice to play various video formats, so you're not stuck trying to find converters to change over all your video files to a different format.
And still another terrific feature is the fact that it comes complete with a built-in alarm clock. This comes in living handy when you need a bit of shut eye but risk over doing it. And I haven't even brought up the handy sleep timer for when you want to doze off while listening.
That's not adequate? Alright, let me tell you about the battery. The Sony S-544 lets you play it full time, without needing to recharge, for nearly two whole days (42 hours or so). Not just that, but you have the ability to also watch videos on the the S-544 for up to 6 and 1/2 hours before having to recharge. A full charge will let you have a whole lot of entertainment.
In addition, the Sony S-544 8 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player comes in several colors including black, pink, red and violet. Also, you can select between 8 or 16 GB, based on what you need. In fact, the 8 GB model can be bought for under $99. This makes it a nice choice since the iPod nano 8 GB sells for about $200.
Bottom line: If you want to save some money and still get one of the best MP3 players there is right now, you're sure to appreciate the Sony S-544 Video Walkman.
